Apple might be cooking something big behind the scenes, and rumours about its foldable smartphone are all over the internet right now: the iPhone Ultra, which might make its way to the shelves in September itself. The company is keeping things classified for now, and no details about any such product are out, but the device is already generating a buzz. Leaks suggest that it might sport a design like a passport; some might even think of it like a mini Mac. Now a supposed design of the device has surfaced online, which shows it with a dual rear camera setup.

What The iPhone Ultra Could Look Like

A fresh report from Filipino tech blog Jam Online has given us what could be the clearest look yet at Apple's rumoured iPhone Ultra. That said, the images are not of a finished smartphone. They show a dummy unit, which is typically produced for case and accessory makers before a phone is officially announced. Apple has not confirmed the device or shared any details about it.

If the dummy is accurate, the iPhone Ultra could offer a different form factor from rival foldables. The device appears wider than a standard iPhone when opened, while still looking slightly thinner and more compact than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. The unfolded display is also said to resemble the size of an iPad mini, giving users a larger screen without making the phone overly bulky.

The renders also hint at the camera layout. There appears to be one selfie camera on the outer cover screen and another on the inner foldable display. Around the back, the dummy shows a dual rear camera setup accompanied by an LED flash and a microphone.

Looking around the frame, the model includes what appears to be a dedicated camera control button, alongside the power and volume buttons. Dual speaker grilles and a USB Type C port can also be seen at the bottom.

As for the hardware, the report claims the iPhone Ultra could arrive with Apple's A20 Pro chip and 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It is also expected to feature a 5.3-inch cover display and a 7.8-inch foldable inner screen.

In the camera department the device is expected to sport two 48-megapixel cameras and will also come with the company's indigenously made C2 modem. This device is expected to come out around the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in September this year. But for now it's all under wraps and unconfirmed, so we must take this information with caution and must treat it just as speculation.
