Buying one of Apple’s new iPhones in India is going to cost you quite a bit this year. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900, the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900, while Apple’s first foldable iPhone Duo comes with a starting price of ₹2,99,900.
All three phones were launched at Apple’s "Surprise and Shine" event. If you are planning to buy one but would rather not pay the entire amount at once, a credit card EMI is an option worth looking at.

HDFC Bank Credit Card users can split the payment across 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. There is no-cost EMI for three and six months, while the nine and 12-month options come with an annual interest rate of 17%. That difference matters because a lower monthly EMI does not necessarily mean you are getting the better deal.
Here is what the numbers look like for each phone.
iPhone 18 Pro EMI
The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro costs ₹1,64,900. On a three-month no-cost EMI, you will have to pay ₹54,966 every month. The total payment is around ₹1,64,899.
Going for six months cuts the monthly payment to ₹27,483. Since this is also a no-cost EMI option, the total payment remains ₹1,64,900.
Things get more expensive if you stretch the payment further. The nine-month plan comes to ₹19,644 per month, but the total amount goes up to ₹1,76,799 with 17% annual interest.
The 12-month option brings the EMI down to ₹15,040 a month. However, you will pay ₹1,80,476 in total by the end of the repayment period.
iPhone 18 Pro Max EMI
The 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900. If you choose three months, the monthly EMI is ₹59,966 and the total payment is around ₹1,79,899. This is a no-cost EMI plan.
For six months, the EMI falls to ₹29,983 per month, while the total payment remains ₹1,79,900.
The nine-month option takes the monthly payment down to ₹21,431, but the total rises to ₹1,92,882 because of the 17% annual interest.
With a 12-month EMI, you will pay ₹16,408 every month. The lower monthly amount comes with a higher overall cost, though, with the total payment reaching ₹1,96,893.
iPhone Duo EMI
The iPhone Duo is in a different price bracket altogether. Apple’s foldable starts at ₹2,99,900 and is offered in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage variants. The EMI figures mentioned here are for the base model.
A three-month no-cost EMI means paying ₹99,966 every month. The total payment works out to around ₹2,99,899.
If that monthly amount is too high, the six-month option brings it down to ₹49,983 per month. Since this is also a no-cost EMI, the total payment stays at ₹2,99,900.
The nine-month plan is easier on the monthly budget at ₹35,727, but this time there is interest involved. The total payment increases to ₹3,21,541 at 17% annual interest.
The 12-month option takes the monthly EMI down to ₹27,352. That may look considerably easier to manage, but the total payment rises to ₹3,28,228.
Which EMI Option Is Better?
If you can afford the higher monthly payment, the three-month and six-month plans make more sense from a total-cost perspective. Both are no-cost EMI options, so you are essentially spreading the phone’s original price across the selected tenure.
The nine-month and 12-month options are different. They reduce the amount you need to pay every month, but the 17% annual interest means the phone ultimately costs you more.
The iPhone Duo shows this difference particularly clearly. Its starting price is ₹2,99,900, but choosing the 12-month plan takes the total payment to ₹3,28,228.
The same phones may also be available through credit card EMI plans from other banks. The monthly EMI can vary depending on the bank and its terms, so the HDFC Bank figures should be used as a reference rather than a fixed EMI amount for every buyer.
