Infinix is getting ready to launch the GT 50 Pro, the successor to last year’s GT 30 Pro, and this one is clearly leaning even harder into gaming. The company has already confirmed that the phone will debut globally on April 24, and from what’s been teased so far, it’s not just a routine upgrade.

The design sticks to that bold, gamer-focused look, but with some functional additions this time around. You’re getting pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers again, now called Pressure-Sense GT Trigger, placed on the right side. These are meant to give you that console-like control in supported games, which is something not many phones in this segment offer.

Display and Gaming Performance

In terms of display and gaming performance, one can say that the GT 50 Pro looks quite promising in this regard as well. The phone will reportedly come with a flat AMOLED screen having a resolution of 1.5K and refresh rate of 144Hz.

On top of this, the phone will offer up to 144FPS gaming on selected games.

This means that Infinix has paid attention to those users who want fast responsiveness and smoothness in their games rather than just going for impressive numbers.

Cooling Mechanism and Gaming Experience

A good gaming smartphone needs to manage its heat effectively. The phone will feature a liquid cooling system for this purpose. One more interesting thing regarding the cooling mechanism is that it will be partially visible from the back panel of the phone.
The idea is to keep temperatures in check during long gaming sessions and avoid performance drops due to throttling.

Extra Controls And Audio Features

Beyond the triggers, there’s also a ZoneTouch Master button on the left side, which could be used for custom controls depending on how Infinix implements it.

Audio is another area getting attention. The phone will support Hi-Res audio for both wired and wireless setups, along with Dolby Atmos, which should make a noticeable difference while gaming or consuming content.

Design And What Else To Expect

The GT 50 Pro will feature a dual rear camera setup housed in a rectangular module, along with an LED flash. It’s been teased in at least silver and red colour options, although the final names haven’t been confirmed yet.

You’ll also get a hole-punch display on the front, along with standard power and volume buttons on the side.

Expected Specs And The Bigger Picture

While Infinix hasn’t officially confirmed everything yet, reports suggest the phone could come with a 6.78-inch display and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. It’s also expected to offer 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

On the camera side, it may include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 13-megapixel front camera.

Overall, the GT 50 Pro looks like Infinix is trying to refine its gaming phone formula rather than completely reinvent it. The focus is clearly on delivering a smoother, more responsive gaming experience, while still keeping the device practical enough for everyday use.
