Huawei has quietly refreshed its fitness wearable lineup in India with the launch of the Band 11 series. The new range includes the Huawei Band 11 and the Huawei Band 11 Pro, both aimed at users who want the essentials of a smartwatch without paying smartwatch prices.

The upgrades this year aren't dramatic, but Huawei has worked on the areas that matter most for fitness bands. Both models get AMOLED displays, a lightweight design, a broad set of health tracking features and a battery that the company says can last for up to two weeks on a single charge.

The biggest difference between the two devices comes down to the display, build quality and navigation features, giving buyers a clearer choice depending on what they need.

The Huawei Band 11 starts at Rs. 6,499 in India, while the Band 11 Metal edition is priced at Rs. 7,999. If you want the top-end model, the Huawei Band 11 Pro will cost Rs. 8,999. All three are now available through major online and offline retailers.

On the design front, Huawei has kept things simple. Both wearables are just 8.99mm thick, making them slim enough to wear throughout the day and even while sleeping. The standard Band 11 weighs 16g, while the Pro model is only a gram heavier at 17g.

The two also look slightly different. The Band 11 comes with a metal case, whereas the Pro version steps up to an aluminium alloy casing for a more premium finish.

Both wearables feature a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, but the Pro model pushes brightness up to 2,000 nits compared to 1,500 nits on the standard version. That should make the screen easier to read outdoors, especially under direct sunlight.

Health tracking continues to be the biggest focus of the Band 11 series. Both devices can continuously monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress and sleep, while also tracking breathing patterns during sleep. Huawei has also added emotional well-being monitoring, giving users another way to keep an eye on their overall health.

For workouts, there's plenty on offer too. The Band 11 series supports more than 100 exercise modes, covering everything from everyday walks and runs to gym sessions and other indoor and outdoor activities.

The Pro model gets one feature that outdoor fitness enthusiasts may appreciate more than casual users. It includes its own GNSS positioning system, allowing it to track outdoor activities without depending entirely on a paired smartphone for location data.

Beyond fitness, Huawei has included the usual smart features people expect from a wearable today. Users can receive call and message notifications, check calendar reminders, view weather updates, use a built-in calculator and even control their phone's camera remotely from the band.

Battery life remains one of Huawei's biggest claims with the new series. According to the company, both models can deliver up to 14 days of usage on a single charge, although real-world endurance will naturally depend on how heavily features like continuous health monitoring are used. When it's time to recharge, the Band 11 series supports magnetic fast charging.

Rather than trying to compete with full-fledged smartwatches, Huawei is sticking to what fitness bands do best. The Band 11 series focuses on offering a comfortable design, dependable health tracking and long battery life, while the Pro model throws in built-in GNSS for users who spend more time training outdoors.
