Rockstar Games has finally confirmed when players will be able to lock in their copy of Grand Theft Auto VI. The studio announced that pre-orders for GTA 6 will open on June 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, marking the start of what is expected to be a major marketing push ahead of the game's November launch.

The announcement was accompanied by the game's official cover art, giving fans another look at the world Rockstar has been teasing over the past year. However, it was the changes made to the official GTA 6 website shortly afterwards that ended up drawing just as much attention.

Rockstar Offers A Fresh Look At Vice City

Following the pre-order announcement, Rockstar refreshed the GTA 6 website with new visuals and updated branding centred around the upcoming launch.

One addition that quickly caught the attention of the community was a short sequence showcasing Vice City at night. The footage highlights a skyline packed with illuminated skyscrapers, waterfront developments, busy roads, helicopters crossing the city and boats moving through nearby waters.

While Rockstar has previously shown parts of Vice City through trailers and promotional screenshots, this latest glimpse offers one of the clearest looks yet at how the city comes alive after dark.

For a game that has already become the subject of endless analysis online, even a brief new look at the map was enough to spark fresh discussion among fans.

Missing Release Date Raises Questions

The Vice City footage was not the only change spotted on the website.

According to a report from Insider Gaming, references to GTA 6's November 19, 2026 release date are no longer visible on the homepage. Instead, Rockstar has replaced that messaging with details about the June 25 pre-order launch.

The discovery quickly led to speculation across social media, with some players wondering whether Rockstar could be preparing another delay.

At the moment, that appears unlikely. Take-Two Interactive has repeatedly reaffirmed the November launch date in recent months, and the decision to open pre-orders suggests the company is moving into the next phase of its launch strategy rather than stepping back from it.

Fnac Listing Sparks GTA 6 Pricing Speculation

As excitement around the pre-order announcement continued to build, another development emerged from Europe.

Fnac, the French retail chain, initially had a number of items related to Rockstar products available for sale, which have since been taken down. Even though there was nothing explicitly mentioned about GTA 6, the timing that coincided with the Rockstar's release schedule has led people to assume that the product listings must be related to the game.

The screenshots made public showed five different listings having prices between €89.99 to €199.99.

Even though Rockstar has not said anything about these listings, people assume that the listings may actually represent various editions of GTA 6 such as the Standard, Deluxe, Premium and Collector's editions of the game.

Could GTA 6 Become Gaming's Next Pricing Benchmark?

The leaked retailer listings have also revived an industry-wide debate about the future cost of AAA games.

If the reported pricing proves accurate, GTA 6 could arrive with one of the most expensive launch structures ever attached to a mainstream blockbuster release. Some analysts believe Rockstar could use the game's unprecedented demand to test higher pricing tiers that other publishers may eventually follow.

Based on the leaked European figures, estimated pricing in India could range between ₹6,999 and ₹8,999, though Rockstar has yet to reveal official regional pricing.

What To Expect On June 25

The upcoming pre-order date could answer several questions that fans have been debating for months.

Rockstar is expected to reveal official pricing, available editions and any pre-order bonuses when reservations go live next week. There is also growing speculation that the company could use the occasion to release a new trailer or offer the first substantial look at gameplay.

For now, June 25 has become the next major milestone in GTA 6's road to release. Between a fresh look at Vice City, questions surrounding the website update and new pricing leaks making the rounds online, Rockstar has managed to get the community talking once again before pre-orders have even begun.
