Pixel 11 series features: Chip shortage has become a daunting reality now, with a major chunk of these chips going into AI powerhouses, and this has an impact on the overall electronics industry, with major players like Apple discontinuing their products like the Mac Mini and others like Samsung raising the prices of their products. Now there is news of Google facing the same challenge. Rumours of Google's base-level flagship, the Pixel 11, are already spiralling up on the internet, and now speculations about Google dropping the RAM capacity are also out.
A new leak is hinting at some unexpected changes in Google’s next Pixel lineup, especially around RAM. As per a report by Android Headlines, citing tipster MysticLeaks on Telegram, the standard Pixel 11 could actually drop to 8GB RAM. That’s a step down from the 12GB base we’ve seen on the current model.
What’s more interesting is that this change might extend to the Pro lineup as well. The Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL, and even the Pro Fold are tipped to start at 12GB RAM instead of 16GB. The higher 16GB variants are still expected to exist, but they may end up being pushed further up the pricing ladder.
On the performance side, Google is expected to introduce its new Tensor G6 chip across the lineup. The chipset is reportedly being built on TSMC’s N2 process and could feature a mix of ARM cores, including a high-performance core clocked beyond 4GHz. A PowerVR GPU and a MediaTek modem are also part of what’s being tipped.
The base Pixel 11, internally known as "Cubs", is expected to come with a 6.3-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness could go up to 2,200 nits, and the battery is said to be at least 4,840mAh.
For the Pro models, things stay largely familiar in terms of size, but with some upgrades. The Pixel 11 Pro could continue with a 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED display, while the Pro XL may offer a larger 6.8-inch panel. Both are expected to support 120Hz refresh rates and higher peak brightness of up to 2,450 nits. Battery capacities are tipped at a minimum of 4,707mAh for the Pro and 5,000mAh for the Pro XL.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is also part of the leak, with details pointing to a 1080x2342 OLED outer screen and a 2076x2160 inner display, both supporting 120Hz refresh rates. Its battery capacity is said to be at least 4,658mAh.

Even with the possible RAM downgrade, the Pro models might still see upgrades where it matters. The leak points to improved main and telephoto cameras, along with brighter displays. There is also a chance Google could drop the temperature sensor from earlier models and replace it with an RGB LED setup inside the camera bar.
As always, none of this is official yet, so it’s best to treat it as early information rather than confirmed specs.
