If you have been looking for a pair of over ear headphones without spending a fortune, boAt has a new option to consider. The company has launched the Nirvana Eutopia 2 ANC in India, bringing features that are usually seen on more expensive headphones, including adaptive active noise cancellation, dual drivers and support for Hi Res Audio.

The new headphones are priced at Rs. 5,999, although boAt is offering them at a special launch price of Rs. 4,999 for a limited time. Buyers can choose between Cosmic Black and Utopian White, with sales now live through boAt's official website and other major online retailers.

Audio is one of the biggest talking points here. Instead of using a single driver, boAt has opted for a dual driver setup that combines a 40mm driver with a 10mm driver. The idea is to deliver a fuller sound with punchier bass, clearer vocals and better separation between instruments. The headphones also support Hi Res Audio, 3D Spatial Audio and up to 45dB Adaptive Hybrid ANC, allowing users to block out a significant amount of background noise while listening.

The Nirvana Eutopia 2 ANC also ticks most of the right boxes when it comes to connectivity. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, Google Fast Pair, the LDAC codec for high quality wireless audio and multi device connectivity, making it easy to switch between your phone and laptop. If you like tweaking your audio settings, the boAt Hearables app lets you adjust the equaliser, customise controls and personalise the listening experience.

For calls, boAt has included its AI ENx technology, which is designed to reduce surrounding noise and make your voice clearer during conversations.

Battery life looks equally promising on paper. The headphones pack an 800mAh battery, which boAt claims can deliver up to 80 hours of playback with ANC turned off. Switch noise cancellation on, and the claimed battery life comes down to 50 hours, which is still enough for several days of regular use. If you are in a hurry, a 10 minute charge is said to provide up to 12 hours of playback, while charging the battery from empty to full takes around 2.5 hours.

On the design front, boAt has gone with a foldable over ear design featuring swivel earcups, making the headphones easier to carry in a backpack. They also get memory foam ear cushions for added comfort, an IPX4 splash resistance rating and physical buttons to control playback, volume, ANC modes and your phone's voice assistant.
