Blinkit airport delivery IndiaBlinkit is expanding into a space where convenience can make or break the travel experience. The company has now launched its services inside Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, becoming the first quick commerce platform in India to operate directly within an airport terminal.
The rollout went live on April 1 and is currently limited to domestic departures. This move comes through a partnership with Adani Airport Holdings Limited, which manages operations at the airport. With this, passengers no longer need to step out of their waiting area or walk across the terminal to pick up essentials. Instead, they can simply place an order on the app and have it delivered to their exact location, whether that is a boarding gate, lounge, or food court.
According to Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa, users will have access to a catalogue of more than 2,500 products. This includes travel essentials such as phone chargers, books, gifts, snacks, baby care items, and personal care products. The idea is to solve a very common travel problem where people realise they have forgotten something important just before boarding.
The delivery model inside the airport is also slightly different from Blinkit’s usual operations. Since vehicles are not allowed within the terminal, trained on-ground staff handle deliveries on foot. Orders are picked up from authorised in-terminal inventory, which also allows the company to include permissible liquids like packaged water, juices, and cold beverages while staying compliant with airport security rules.

From the airport’s perspective, this is part of a broader push to improve passenger convenience through digital integration. For Blinkit, it opens up access to a high-intent audience that values speed and ease over anything else. For travellers, it simply means one less thing to worry about before a flight.
