Krafton has dropped the BGMI 4.5 update, and it is easily one of the most ambitious updates the game has received in years. Instead of focusing on a single collaboration, the developer has bundled three of them together. Players can now jump into Naruto themed battles, swing around the map as Spider Man and even drive Ferrari supercars, all in the same anniversary update.

The update celebrates BGMI completing five years in India, and Krafton says the game has now crossed 260 million players in the country.

There's something for everyone right from the moment they log in. Players will receive Naruto themed rewards during the anniversary season, including lobby music, Flash Crew rewards and gifts for both new and returning players.

Naruto completely changes the battlefield

If Naruto is the main reason you're updating the game, there's plenty to look forward to.

The new Ninjas Assemble mode gives Erangel and Livik a complete makeover, replacing familiar locations with iconic landmarks from the Hidden Leaf Village. Hokage Rock, Ichiraku Ramen and the Ninja Academy are all part of the experience, making the maps feel very different from their usual versions.

Combat has also changed. Players can pull off famous Naruto moves such as Rasengan, Chidori and Flying Raijin Jutsu, while the new Ninja Run mechanic makes moving around the map much quicker. One of the biggest additions is the boss battle against Kurama, where players fight the legendary Nine Tails across multiple stages.

Krafton has even introduced a server wide event called Kurama Defense. Instead of fighting each other, everyone teams up to protect the village, turning the mode into a large scale co operative challenge.

Spider Man arrives later this month

Naruto isn't the only crossover arriving in BGMI.

From July 30, players will also be able to play as Spider Man ahead of the release of Spider Man: Brand New Day. The collaboration adds web swinging, wall climbing, Spider Sense and web attacks, making movement across Erangel much more dynamic.

The update also introduces Skyline Plaza, a brand new combat area built around vertical gameplay, along with locations inspired by the films, including Peter Parker's apartment and Aunt May's grave.

Ferrari joins BGMI for the first time

The third collaboration is with Ferrari, bringing four of the company's cars into the game. Players can get behind the wheel of the Roma, Purosangue, LaFerrari and SF90 XX Spider in different paint finishes.

There's also a Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 car on display across the maps, giving players another vehicle to check out during matches.

The anniversary season isn't over yet

The 4.5 update includes more than just crossover content.

WOW Mode has expanded with new player made experiences, while the Card Collection system has been refreshed with India themed and Naruto themed cards that are now easier to collect and exchange.

Krafton has also confirmed that more content is on the way. CarryMinati will be part of a special Independence Day event on August 15, and the game is introducing three new X Suits that can be upgraded by completing missions instead of simply spending in game currency.

The new Team Up Reservation feature is another welcome addition. Squads can now schedule matches up to a week in advance, and the game will remind teammates when it's time to jump in.

The anniversary season will continue until early September, so players can expect fresh events and rewards to keep arriving over the next few weeks.
