The Republic of Gamers brand turned 20 at Computex 2026, where it unveiled its ROG Edition 20 series. The most significant product introduced at Computex 2026 was the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20, which is a limited edition version of the gaming console, offering an upgraded design and some improved features compared to the standard version.

The new handheld arrives with a premium black-and-gold theme that is being used across the entire ROG Edition 20 series. Asus says the console features a translucent black chassis paired with gold graphics and matching golden backlighting around the joysticks, giving it a more collectible look compared to the standard version.
The Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 will not be sold alone. Instead, the company plans to offer it as part of a special bundle that also includes the Asus ROG XReal R1 Edition 20 augmented reality smart glasses. Asus has not yet confirmed pricing or availability details for the bundle, although the product has already appeared on the company’s official website with key specifications and feature details.
While the overall design and control layout remain similar to the regular Asus ROG Ally X, the Edition 20 model introduces a slightly larger display. It features a 7.4-inch Full-HD OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. The panel supports up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1,400 nits peak brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, Dolby Vision support, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. By comparison, the standard variant comes with a smaller 7-inch OLED display.
Under the hood, the gaming handheld is powered by AMD’s octa-core Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, paired with AMD Radeon graphics and an AMD XDNA NPU capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. The device also packs 24GB LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD for storage.
Asus has kept the familiar ABXY button layout and I/O setup unchanged, meaning users will get a similar gaming experience to the standard Ally X model. The handheld is backed by an 80Wh battery with support for 68W fast charging through a USB Type-C port.

With the ROG Edition 20 lineup, Asus appears to be targeting collectors and gaming enthusiasts looking for exclusive hardware with a premium design twist while still delivering flagship-level handheld gaming performance.
