Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is already out in the open through leaks, even before Ubisoft has properly shown it. Just ahead of the official showcase, new details around pricing, editions and launch timing have surfaced, giving a much clearer picture of what the company is planning.
Pricing And Editions
According to well-known leaker billbil-kun, the remake will arrive in two versions. The standard Launch Edition is expected to be priced at $59.99, which keeps it in line with typical AAA releases. Alongside it, a Collector’s Edition is said to be priced at $199.99, clearly aimed at fans who want more than just the base game.

This kind of pricing suggests Ubisoft is treating this as a major release rather than a smaller remake experiment.
What The Collector’s Edition Includes
The higher-priced edition leans heavily into fan service. It reportedly includes a collector’s box, a figurine of Edward Kenway, a lore-themed notebook, a brooch and a map inspired by Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
For players who spent time with the original, this feels more like a nostalgia play than something completely new.
Release Date Leak
The same leak points to a July 9, 2026 release date. What makes this more interesting is that earlier reports had already hinted at the same timeline, so this is not coming out of nowhere.
Ubisoft has not confirmed the date yet, but the consistency across leaks makes it feel increasingly likely.
What Ubisoft Has Confirmed
So far, Ubisoft has only shared a few key details. The game is being positioned as a solo pirate adventure, which suggests it will stay close to the original’s identity instead of following the RPG-heavy direction of recent titles.
Another confirmed fact is the involvement of Matt Ryan, who will portray Edward Kenway in Assassin's Creed. That addition instantly gives a lot of credibility to the game.
Gameplay Direction And Modifications
There are claims that the remastering has been done from scratch and comes with some modifications. However, the game will definitely not turn into an RPG one.
It is necessary to point out that such direction of development is vital since it implies that Ubisoft will neither change the game completely nor leave everything as it was before.

What This Really Means
Right now, this feels like Ubisoft playing it carefully. The pricing shows confidence, the Collector’s Edition targets loyal fans, and the overall direction suggests refinement over reinvention.
The real test will be whether that approach is enough.Nostalgia can bring attention, but in 2026, players will expect more than just a polished version of something they already played.
