Apple WWDC 2026 easer: The word that Apple will come out with its major Siri overhaul during the WWDC 2026 has been out for a while, but it seems like the Cupertino-based tech giant has dropped a major teaser ahead of the conference. According to a journalist expert in these affairs, early hints suggest that the tech giant might be moving forward with a completely redesigned interface and will also move deeper in terms of AI integration in iOS 27. The choice of artwork this time that Apple has selected for WWDC 2026 is currently the thing that is generating quite a buzz, with its visual elements that tease what could be the next step in Siri's evolution, but the details are not confirmed by Apple yet.

A Siri Redesign On The Way?

In the latest edition of the Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman points out that Apple’s WWDC 2026 artwork may already be hinting at the new Siri interface. The assistant is expected to feature a glowing visual effect, similar to what’s been teased, especially when the device is in dark mode.

One of the more noticeable changes could be how Siri appears on screen. Instead of taking over the entire display, the assistant is said to integrate directly into the Dynamic Island. When triggered, the pill-shaped area may expand, showing a “Search or Ask” prompt, possibly paired with a glowing cursor to make interactions feel more fluid and responsive.

This visual style isn’t limited to just the activation UI. Reports suggest Apple may also extend it to a text-based search experience within a new standalone Siri app, offering a more consistent look across different ways of interacting with the assistant.

Beyond the design changes, iOS 27 is also expected to bring Siri closer to modern AI chatbots in terms of capability. Previous reports indicate that users may be able to hold ongoing conversations, issue multiple requests in a single command, and benefit from improved personal context awareness.

There’s also mention of on-screen understanding, which could allow Siri to interpret what’s currently displayed and respond accordingly, adding a more contextual layer to how the assistant works.

Overall, the update suggests Apple is working toward making Siri not just more visually engaging, but also significantly more capable in everyday use. The new versions, if what the reports suggest is true, will function on newer updated foundation models, and Google's Gemini could also show up in deeper integration, and this speculation comes from the deal that was brokered in January. Apple could also come out with a dedicated app for Siri as well, with functions like revisiting your previous conversation, etc.
