Apple’s next wave of Pro iPhones is still a few months away, but leaks around the upcoming Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple iPhone 18 Pro are already starting to paint a clearer picture of what the company could be planning for 2026. From camera upgrades and battery changes to a redesigned Dynamic Island, the Pro models may end up getting most of the attention this year.

Reports suggest Apple could once again stick with a familiar overall look, including the triple rear camera setup that has become standard on its Pro iPhones. That said, the company is reportedly making a few smaller design refinements around the frame and rear panel to give the phones a cleaner and more polished finish.

Smller Dynamic Island?

One of the bigger changes could happen on the front. Leaks claim Apple is working on a smaller Dynamic Island this time around, with the cutout expected to shrink by nearly 35 percent compared to current models. If true, that could give the display a more seamless appearance without completely removing the feature.

The screen sizes themselves may not change. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to keep its 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could continue with a 6.9-inch panel. Apple is also tipped to introduce upgraded LTPO+ display technology, which may help improve battery efficiency and overall power management.

A Battery Boost?

Battery life could see a noticeable boost, especially on the Pro Max model. According to leaks, Apple may slightly increase the thickness of the phone to fit a larger battery, with capacity expected to land somewhere between 5,100mAh and 5,200mAh.

Under the hood, the Pro lineup is expected to run on Apple’s next-generation A20 chipset. According to various sources, this new chip can be produced using TSMC’s 2nm manufacturing process, which will make it more efficient and powerful than any other generation.

Another area that is likely to attract a lot of attention this year includes cameras. It has been revealed that Apple is working on a variable aperture system for its primary camera that would allow users to control the amount of light entering the sensor. Apple may even introduce a new stacked sensor camera this year.

As for pricing, early reports suggest Apple may try to avoid a major increase despite rising production costs. In India, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is currently expected to launch around the same price bracket as the previous generation, which started at Rs. 1,49,900.
