Apple’s first foldable iPhone is once again making headlines, this time after a dummy unit of the device surfaced online ahead of its expected debut. While Apple is yet to officially confirm the product, the leaked dummy gives a clearer idea of what the company’s long-rumoured foldable phone could look like.

The device seen in the leak comes in a white finish and appears to feature a book-style folding design, similar to foldable smartphones already available in the market. The overall look suggests Apple may be prioritising a slim and clean design language for its first foldable offering.

One of the biggest highlights is the rear camera module. Instead of a traditional square camera bump, the foldable iPhone appears to feature a horizontal camera bar design that resembles the style seen on the iPhone Air lineup. The setup reportedly includes dual rear cameras rather than a triple-camera system. Previous leaks have also suggested that Apple may choose a lighter and thinner form factor over adding extra camera hardware.

The leaked dummy also hints at Apple sticking with simple and classic colour options for the foldable model. The white variant seen online aligns with earlier reports claiming that the company may avoid flashy finishes for its first-generation foldable iPhone. In comparison, the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to arrive in multiple new colour options.

Reports suggest Apple’s foldable iPhone could feature a compact 5.5-inch outer display for everyday use, while unfolding the device may reveal a much larger 7.8-inch screen designed for a tablet-like experience. The phone is also rumoured to run on Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chip.

Interestingly, Apple may also rethink its biometric system for the foldable model. Instead of Face ID, the company is said to be testing a side-mounted Touch ID fingerprint scanner, possibly to free up internal space and keep the device slimmer.
