Amazon is clearly done testing the waters. Its quick commerce push, Amazon, Now, it is now moving into a much bigger phase, with the company announcing plans to expand the 10-minute delivery service to 100 cities across India.
Until now, Amazon Now it was limited to a handful of urban pockets. That’s changing quickly.
A Much Wider Footprint
With this expansion, cities like Kochi, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad are joining the network. The service is already live in major hubs like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bengaluru.

If you're in one of these cities, spotting availability is simple. Just open the Amazon app and look for the “Now” icon on the homepage.
What Makes It Work
The backbone of Amazon Now is its growing network of micro-fulfillment centers, or MFCs. Amazon plans to scale this up aggressively, targeting 1,000 such centers across the country. These small, hyperlocal warehouses are what make those near-instant deliveries possible.
And it’s not just about speed. Amazon says this network will also open doors for over 16,000 farmers, allowing them to sell produce directly to customers via sellers on the platform. That’s a notable shift in how supply chains are being reshaped in quick commerce.
What You Can Order
The catalogue is fairly broad. Think groceries, personal care items, fashion and beauty products, small appliances, baby essentials, pet supplies, and even healthcare supplements. The pitch is simple: everyday needs, delivered in minutes.
The Bigger Play
This expansion is part of Amazon’s larger investment of over Rs. 2,800 crore in India. Beyond logistics, the company says the focus is also on improving safety, health, and financial stability for its workforce while building out infrastructure.
But let’s be real, this is also about competition.
