The tech industry is all about AI right now and Amazon is not taking a backseat in this show, and has now come out with a slew of new AI features in its visual search. The e-commerce giant has now introduced 8 new features that come with the goal of making product delivery easier and more interactive across its shopping ecosystem.

With Amazon's new AI-powered search experience, users can type detailed descriptions of what they're looking for and see AI-generated images appear instantly beneath the search bar. Instead of searching for a specific product name, shoppers can describe things such as colours, materials, patterns, or styles. Once the generated image matches what they have in mind, they can tap on it to browse similar products. At the moment, the feature supports categories such as fashion and home decor.

Amazon's rolling out a new feature, Shop by Style. Instead of plain old product lists, this shows AI-made collections with various aesthetics and trends. So, say you're looking for clothes or accessories; you might find themed picks like "Urban Luxe" or "Soft Elegance." It makes exploring products fitting a specific vibe super easy.

The company has also upgraded Amazon Lens, its visual search tool, with a new feature called Lens Live. It allows users to point their smartphone camera at an object and instantly see visually similar products available on Amazon. Results appear in real time through an interactive carousel, and shoppers can compare items, save them to wishlists, or add them directly to their cart without leaving the camera view.

Amazon says Lens Live also works with Alexa, allowing users to ask questions about products they are viewing through the camera.

Visual search across the platform is getting several other upgrades as well. A new Visual Suggestions feature adds image-based filters to broad searches, helping users narrow down results more quickly. Amazon Lens can now also combine uploaded images with text prompts, giving shoppers more control over what they want to find.

For iPhone users, Amazon has introduced a dedicated Amazon Lens widget that provides instant access to camera-based shopping from the lock screen. The company is also expanding its More Like This feature, making it easier to discover visually similar products from search results.

Circle to Search is another cool feature. You can use it to find things similar to what you've highlighted in an image, no full picture scan needed.

Right now, US users on both Android and iOS are getting this in the Amazon Shopping app. Amazon keeps integrating AI into shopping more and more with stuff like this.
