If you’ve been scrolling through Airtel’s prepaid plans lately, chances are you’ve come across the Rs. 355 and Rs. 379 recharges. At first glance, the difference is tiny. Just Rs. 24 separates the two packs. But once you look beyond the price, both plans are clearly meant for different kinds of users.
One is designed for people who want all their data upfront and use it whenever they want. The other is aimed at users who stream, scroll, binge-watch, and rely heavily on Airtel’s growing 5G network.
Here’s what each plan actually offers.
Airtel Rs. 355 Plan Gives You One Big Chunk Of Data
The Rs. 355 prepaid recharge from Bharti Airtel comes with 25GB of 4G data for 30 days. There’s no daily limit here, which means you can use the data however you like during the validity period.
Along with the data, Airtel is also offering unlimited voice calls, 300 SMS, and Rs. 5 talk time.
This plan makes more sense for users who don’t consume large amounts of internet every single day but occasionally need extra data for downloads, travel, hotspot usage, or long streaming sessions. Since the entire 25GB is available from day one, there’s more flexibility compared to daily data plans.
The effective daily cost comes down to around Rs. 11.83.
Airtel Rs. 379 Plan Is Clearly Built For Heavy Data Users
Now comes the Rs. 379 recharge, which feels like Airtel’s push toward getting more users onto its 5G network.
The plan offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS daily with one-month validity. But the biggest attraction here is unlimited 5G data for users living in Airtel 5G areas.
That changes the overall value completely.
If your area already has stable 5G coverage and you own a compatible smartphone, the Rs. 379 plan can easily feel much bigger than its actual price tag. Airtel is also bundling 30GB of Google One cloud storage for one month along with a six-month subscription to Apple Music.
Compared to Airtel’s Rs. 299 or Rs. 319 plans, this recharge feels like a much stronger upgrade for people who consume a lot of data daily.
So Which Airtel Plan Should You Pick?
Honestly, it depends more on your network than your budget.
If you mostly stay connected to 4G and prefer flexible data usage without worrying about daily limits, the Rs. 355 plan is still a solid option.

But if Airtel 5G works well in your area, spending a little extra on the Rs. 379 recharge makes far more sense. The unlimited 5G access alone can completely change how much data you end up using every month.
At the same time, Bharti Airtel is continuing to expand both its 4G and 5G coverage across India, including rural and northeastern regions, which means more users may eventually be able to take full advantage of these plans.
