Airtel Prepaid Recharge Pack: Bharti Airtel has rolled out a new prepaid option, and this one feels clearly timed for the cricket season. Priced at just Rs 48, the plan isn’t trying to do too much on the data side. Instead, it leans heavily on content, especially for users who just want a quick and affordable way to stream matches.

At its core, this is a data voucher. You get 1GB of 4G data, which honestly won’t last long if you plan to stream regularly. But Airtel seems to understand that the real draw here isn’t the data, it’s the bundled access to JioHotstar Mobile. That subscription is valid for one month, and it’s what makes this plan stand out.

With the Indian Premier League 2026 around, this feels like a very deliberate move. Not everyone wants to spend on bigger plans or separate OTT subscriptions just to watch a few matches. This pack is clearly aimed at those users who just want a low-cost entry point to stream IPL without overthinking it.

There is a small catch though. Since this is only a data voucher, it doesn’t come with service validity. So you’ll need an active base prepaid plan for this to work. The one-month validity applies to both the 1GB data and the JioHotstar access.

What’s interesting is that Airtel already has a few other plans that bundle OTT benefits. Options like the Rs 195, Rs 279, and Rs 361 plans also include JioHotstar access. The Rs 279 plan, in particular, goes a bit further by adding Netflix and ZEE5 into the mix along with a one-month validity.

Overall, this Rs 48 plan feels less about heavy usage and more about convenience. It’s simple, affordable, and clearly built for the moment. If all you want is a quick way to catch IPL matches without committing to a bigger recharge, this might just do the job.
