IO Interactive has officially unveiled the PC requirements for 007 First Light, its new James Bond action-adventure game, and confirmed advanced PC features thanks to a partnership with Nvidia. The announcement came as part of an Nvidia CES 2026 presentation treat, in which the studio demonstrated performance-savvy improvements heading for the PC version of the game.
Built on an enhanced iteration of IO Interactive's in-house Glacier engine, the same engine powering its Hitman titles, 007 First Light is looking to be quite a technically ambitious release for current platforms.
DLSS 4 and High Frame Rate on PC
007 First Light for PC will support DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation in partnership with Nvidia. The tech is built to raise frame rates substantially without compromising on image quality, particularly at higher resolutions.

In a developer diary released during CES 2026, IO Interactive showed off gameplay of the PC version at over 200fps (but not once did they show a frame counter) in glorious 4K with DLSS switched on. The studio claims that its use of the Glacier engine together with Nvidia’s latest AI upscaler for rendering means smoother and more detailed gameplay in general and better overall performance.
Minimum PC Requirements
Players aiming for a fundamental experience playing in 1080p and at 30 fps, however, IOI recommends the min spec generally expected by today’s standards. The game needs a quad-core or equivalent processor, at least 16GB RAM, and an 8GB VRAM graphics card minimum. Storage-wise, 007 First Light will require 80GB of storage space and it’s compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11 in their x64 versions.

Recommended PC Requirements
If you are one of those people looking for a 4K setup with some more demanding requirements. IO Interactive recommends using a recent Intel or AMD processor along with RTX 3060 Ti-class graphics, 32GB of memory and VRAM totalling at least 12GB. It's good to still have the same 80GB of storage.

Release Date and Platforms
007 First Light was set to release on March 27, 2026, but IO Interactive delayed the title by two months. The game is currently scheduled to release on May 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Pre-ordering players will have early access by a day, as well as exclusive items in-game.
Backed by DLSS 4, lofty frame rate aspirations and a souped-up Glacier engine, 007 First Light could be one of the more technically sound action games of 2026 on PC.
