Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Pro 5G have debuted as two new models in the company’s global markets, Poco announced on Thursday. The sub-brand of Xiaomi introduced both new phones through a virtual event that was live streamed on social media channels. Advertising The Poco M8 Pro 5G is pitched as a performance-orientated mid-price phone, with a focus on fast charging and long battery life alongside the high-end AMOLED screen.
Poco M8 Pro 5G Price Details
The Poco M8 Pro 5G is priced at $299 (roughly Rs. 26,900) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs $359 (around Rs. 32,300). As part of early bird offers, Poco is offering discounted prices, with the 256GB version available for $279 (roughly Rs. 25,100) and the 512GB variant priced at $339 (around Rs. 30,500).

Display and Performance
The smartphone comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen offering a resolution of 1,280 x 2,772 pixels. It goes up to a 120 Hz refresh rate and can hit as high as 3,200 nits of brightness, which is great for using outside. The screen has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Under the hood you’ll find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to a generous 512GB of internal storage. Out of the box, it is powered by Android 15-based HyperOS 2.
Camera Capabilities
On the optics front, the Poco M8 Pro 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 sensor along with OIS. This is backed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, the phone has a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. It also has stereo speakers featuring Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio.
Battery, Charging and Durability
Poco M8 Pro 5G specifications One of the key highlights of the Poco M8 Pro 5G is its large 6,500mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging. It also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging in case you want to juice up other devices whenever necessary.
There is 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. In terms of security, the phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock. Poco says the phone is woven with an IP66, IP69 and IP69K dust, water and pressure resistance sub-rating, further proving it has rough-and-tumble appeal.
The Poco M8 Pro 5G appears to pack in a lot on paper, but we do not know if or when it will make its way to the Indian market. For now, all the prospective buyers will have to wait for an official word from Poco on whether or not it is bringing the Pro version to India.
