The Tamil Calendar July 2026 is packed with numerous fasting days, known as vratham and religious occasions observed by Tamil devotees in India and around the world. The month is especially spiritually significant, marked with holy occasions like Ekadashi, Pradosham, Amavasai, Pournami, and many other festivals observed by thousands of people across the state.

The first celebration for the month will begin on 3 July 2026, with Sankatahara Chaturthi, St Thomas Day, and Thiruvona Vratham. Then on 10 July 2026, devotees will observe Karthikai Vratham and Ekadashi. 11 July is one of the most significant days in the month, with Vaishnava Yogini Ekadashi and World Population Day marked for the day.

Mid-July is also packed with significant festivals and occasions. July 12th is celebrated as Pradosham and Masa Shivaratri. These festivals are commonly celebrated among Lord Shiva devotees. Amavasai is on July 14th; devotees conduct ancestral worship and rituals on this day. The 15th of July will witness Chandra Darshan and Ashadha Gupta Navratri.

Puri Ratha Yatra and Karka Sankranti are observed on the 16th of July, while Dakshinayana Punyakalam, Chaturthi Vratham and Sabarimala Nada Thurappu are marked for the 17th of July.
