Vadodara Road Accident: At least five people were killed, and 26 others were seriously injured early this morning after a luxury bus collided with a truck on the Vadodara-Jarod Highway near Kotambi village.
Upon receiving information about the incident, authorities rushed to the scene. The injured were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

Bus Rams Into Truck Near Kotambi
According to a report by Jagran.com, the accident occurred early this morning when a luxury bus travelling at high speed rammed into the rear of a truck on the Vadodara-Jarod highway. The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely shattered, claiming the lives of five passengers on the spot and leaving 26 others seriously injured.

Hearing the sound of the accident, locals immediately rushed to the scene to assist in the rescue operations. All the injured were evacuated and taken to Vadodara's renowned Sayaji Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
NDRF Rushed To Scene
Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was immediately deployed to safely evacuate passengers trapped inside the bus. NDRF personnel carried out rescue operations on a war footing, rescuing those trapped inside.

Police Launches Probe
The Jarod Police also arrived at the scene. Authorities have taken the bodies of the deceased into custody and sent them for post-mortem examination. Cranes are being used to clear the damaged vehicles from the road to avoid traffic congestion on the highway.
Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
