The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) on April 1, the first day of the new financial year, approved 11 new real estate projects in the state, including two in Lucknow. The projects, with an estimated cost of Rs 3,212.63 crore, are eyeing to further accelerate the development of the state's real estate sector.
The approved plan includes 2,914 residential, commercial, and mixed-type properties, including flats, plots, villas and office spaces in nine districts of the state.
The authority's 199th meeting, held on Wednesday at the UP RERA headquarters, was chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy.
These projects aim to increase housing availability, expand commercial infrastructure, and encourage balanced development in various districts. All approved projects will be monitored for compliance with deadlines and regulatory provisions.
As part of the plan, Gautam Buddha Nagar tops in the number of units, while Ghaziabad clinched the highest investment.
Ghaziabad led the investment, with a residential project estimated to cost Rs 1,108.6 crore and 568 units.
Check city-wise projects
- In Gautam Buddha Nagar, a commercial project costing Rs 843.14 crore will be developed with 1,077 IT office spaces.
- Two projects, one residential and one mixed-use development, will bring together 815 units in Lucknow, costing a total of Rs 947.04 crore. This is expected to boost residential demand and commercial activity in the capital.
- In Jhansi, two projects worth Rs 96.69 crore will be developed for 134 units, including one residential and one mixed-use project.
- In Agra, a residential project costing Rs 47.86 crore will create 80 residential units.
- In Mathura, a residential project costing Rs 55 crore will create 86 residential units.
- In Meerut, a housing project costing Rs 3.11 crore will have 35 residential units.
- A housing project in Bareilly costing Rs 98.50 crore will develop 100 residential units.
- A Rs 12.60 crore housing project in Firozabad will create 19 residential units.

The total investment of over Rs 3,200 crore is expected to generate significant employment during the construction phase.
UP RERA Chairman Bhoosreddy said, "The authority is working towards transparent and timely implementation of real estate projects in the state. Strict adherence to regulatory provisions and continuous monitoring of approved projects will ensure their timely completion." Authority members and senior officials were also present at the meeting.
