CJP Delegation To Hold High-Level Talks With Union Ministers Today Amid NEET Paper Leak Protests

CJP Protests: A delegation of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and Union Ministers will hold a high-level meeting at 12.30 pm on Friday, news agency PTI reported quoting the sources. However, the venue has not been disclosed, they added. The development came hours after Union Ministers Jitendra Singh and JP Nadda offered the protesting students to hold talks any time as per their convenience at the residence or office of the Union Health Minister. This comes after intense backroom negotiations to end the deadlock over the NEET paper leak.

Four Proposals For Talks With CJP In Last 24 Hours

Earlier in the day, Nadda and Singh both offered CJP members to hold talks to reach a solution. Singh said the government is ready to hold talks with protesting students at Nadda's office or residence as per their convenience over all issues. "The government has sent formal proposals for discussions with their representatives four times since last afternoon. This is a standing invitation to all our youth friends that the government is ready for discussions on all issues at your convenience, at JP Nadda's office or residence and anytime. We do not stand on prestige," he added.

Nadda And Singh Likely To Represent Government At Meeting

Singh said Health Minister JP Nadda and he would be present for discussions. "Slowly, by way of discussion, we will progress towards a solution. This is a part of the series of continuous steps taken by the government for the welfare of the students. Humbly, I appeal to you all to come and have discussions."

CJP Calls For Nationwide Protest On Friday

The CJP gave a nationwide call for peaceful protests on July 24 and urged people to hold demonstrations in every district as it rejected the government's offer for talks, insisting any dialogue should be held only at a neutral venue. It also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on action against paper leaks did not address the issue of accountability or its main demand of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the NEET paper leak.
