  1. AIIMS report confirms skin tissue on gym belt.
  2. Tissue matches Twisha Sharma's neck injuries.
  3. Crucial evidence for CBI in death case.

A fresh twist has emerged in the Twisha Sharma death case, with the AIIMS Delhi medical board submitting an 11-page report to the CBI in a sealed envelope after nearly a month-long investigation. The report has been kept confidential in compliance with court orders.

According to Jagran.com, citing sources, laboratory and histopathological examinations conducted by the AIIMS team confirmed the presence of skin tissue on the gym belt allegedly used to strangle Twisha. The findings also reportedly match the pattern of injuries found on her neck.

AIIMS Examined Every Angle

Dr Sudhir Gupta, head of the Forensic Medicine Department at AIIMS, said the medical board examined the case from every possible angle before arriving at its conclusions. However, he declined to reveal the contents of the report, citing directions from the Madhya Pradesh High Court and the Supreme Court.

He said the board spent nearly a month reviewing all aspects of the case and studying available national and international scientific literature before submitting a detailed, evidence-based opinion to the CBI. According to him, the findings are clear and have been presented in the interest of truth and justice.

"The medical board deliberated very minutely on the case from all possible angles, took into consideration all available national and international journals for almost one month and has given a detailed opinion with scientific justification. It is a crystal-clear opinion for the CBI and for the judiciary in the interest of truth and justice," ANI quoted Dr Gupta.

Crucial Findings on Gym Belt

The latest conclusion is considered significant because the first postmortem report could not scientifically establish a link between the injuries on Twisha's neck and the gym belt. At the time, the investigating officer had reportedly failed to present the belt before the medical board during the autopsy.

Following a plea by the victim's family, the Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered a second postmortem to be conducted by an AIIMS Delhi medical board.

The central forensic question in the case was whether the gym belt, along with its iron ring, was indeed the ligature used to strangulate Twisha, given the nature and condition of the injuries found on her neck.

Twisha Sharma’s Death Case

Model, actress, and influencer Twisha Sharma was found dead at her in-laws' house on May 12 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The investigation into the death case intensified, revealing that Twisha had been suffering from depression and had also undergone an abortion. Her mother-in-law alleged that she was addicted to drugs and behaved unusually.

The deceased husband fled Bhopal and remained underground for a few days. When caught, he was taken into custody. Samarth claimed that Twisha probably had an extra-marital affair with someone and was distressed about the same.

Twisha's family members claimed that their daughter was physically and mentally tortured and that her in-laws demanded dowry from her. In the chat messages with her mother, she revealed that she did not feel fine and that the marriage was a mistake.
