A woman employee of the Nashik unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has revealed disturbing details of months-long sexual harassment by her senior. In her statement given to the police, the woman cited several instances where she was subjected to lewd comments, inappropriate physical contact and consistent prying into her married life. In one of the instances, the accused pulled the pallu of her saree in office.

The victim, who joined TCS Nashik branch as an 'Associate' in June 2025, soon after her marriage, said her training leader Shahrukh Qureshi would often ask her personal questions related to her marital life. Another man, Raza Menon, who was the Team Lead of the Loans Branch, would come up to her and make inappropriate remarks. Menon, she said, had no role in the training but approached her offering unsolicited help and advise.

TCS Employee Reveals Invasive Questions, Indecent Comments

The woman resides with her in-laws in Nashik while her husband works in Pune. One day, Raza asked her, as quoted by NDTV, "Since your husband lives away, how do you manage everything? Don't you get scared? If you ever need anything at all, please let me know, I'll be there to help you anytime."

Raza would continuously pry about her personal life and asked questions related to her honeymoon and her relation with the husband. Her training leader Shahrukh would often join him in harassing her.

Sharing one of the mortifying experiences, the victim quoted Raza as saying, "If you don't get along with your husband, let us know; we'll teach you exactly what to do and how to go about it. You must have had plenty of boyfriends. How did you end up getting married after leaving them all behind? If those boyfriends are still pursuing you in the same way they used to, and your family or husband were to find out about it, what would happen? What would you do?"

Raza went on to nick name her "player" and would use the term to refer to her in office. She further alleged that Shahrukh would summon Raza every time she went to him with some issue regarding work and the two would pass indecent comments.

The victim was molested by Raza on the day of Gudi Padwa this year, when she had worn a saree to the office. "As I was walking through the lobby, right across the pantry, I felt someone tug at my pallu (the loose end of the saree). When I turned around, I saw that my pallu was in Raza's hand. I immediately yanked my pallu back, whereupon he looked at me with a lewd gaze and smiled," she told the police.

'Touched My Thigh': TCS Employee

The victim has named another perpetrator as Asif Ansari, who habitually harassed her physically and verbally. Ansari, she said would deliberately touch her body, grab her hand, or place his hand on her thigh or shoulder. Once he touched her stomach and waist and said, "You have a 'zero figure'.

Another day, he grabbed the victim in a tight embrace while she stood in the gallery. The woman said she pushed him away and fled.

The victim told the police that she avoided Ansari, but did not raise the issue out of fear of losing her job. Ansari would join her during lunch and touch her inappropriately, ask her to bring food for him. He confessed to liking her and coaxed her to get into a physical relationship with him. "Even though you are married now, that's fine by me. Whatever your physical needs may be, I will fulfill them," she quoted him as saying.

The harassment continued on the social media. While she had blocked him on Instagram, he pursued her on LinkedIn.

He also threatened her with consequences at work if she refused to accept his advanced. "You want to move forward, don't you? So, do you not like my teaching? Saying this, he would try to get even closer," the victim said.

The complainant further alleged that the harassers justified violence against women as a consequence of not wearing burqas and made derogatory remarks about Hindu deities.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Nashik police has arrested eight people, including a female operations manager, after nine FIRs were registered. The FIRs were based on employees' allegations of sexual and mental harassment, attempt at forced conversion and exploitation at the TCS unit. Another key accused, Nida Khan, is yet to be nabbed.
