TCS Nashik Case: Shocking details have surfaced in the ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion at the BPO unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Maharashtra's Nashik. Victims claim that vulgar codes were used for office passwords and obscene messages were sent on WhatsApp groups to mentally harass female employees.
Harassment Began During Training Period, Continued For Months
A complainant, recording her statement before the Maharashtra State Women's Commission, alleged that the harassment began during her training period and continued for several months. She accused Raza Rafiq Memom of repeatedly calling her to his cabin, where he deliberately made sexually explicit comments and remarks that hurt her religious sentiments.

The woman further claimed that despite raising the issue with her immediate manager, no action was taken. Instead, she claimed that the harassment intensified. She also told investigators that two other accused, Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar, began digital stalking and the spreading of rumours against her.
Vulgar Passwords, Obscene WhatsApp Messages
According to the police investigation, the alleged harassment at the IT firm extended beyond individual interactions. Investigators found that a group leader allegedly sent lewd messages on a near-daily basis in official WhatsApp groups.
According to News18, Wi-Fi passwords were frequently updated using vulgar words or terms intended to offend the religious beliefs of female employees. The actions are being interpreted as a part of sustained efforts to mentally intimidate them.
