TCS Conversion Case: The Nashik Police on Thursday arrested Nida Khan, the prime accused in the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conversion case. She had been escaping the arrest for the past 25 days even after the police conducted raids at multiple locations. However, police successfully managed to track and arrest her in Maharashtra's Sambhajinagar district after days of search operations. The police further stated that she will be questioned in the coming days for further details.

How Was Nida Khan Arrested?

- The Nashik police left their khaki uniforms and police jeep and conducted the search operation in civilian dress

- Earlier last week, police received a tip-off, suggesting that she was hiding in a rented flat in 'Kaiser Colony' in the Naregaon area

- The police confirmed her presence in the Naregaon region with the help of technical analysis and location tracking

- It maintained continuous surveillance over the entire area for three to four days before arresting her

- Over 20 police personnel were deployed inside the premises where Nida Khan was residing to ensure that she does not escape the region

- Nida Khan was seeking legal advice from some lawyers in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, reported Jagran.com, citing sources

- As per the reports, the accused was also planning to file a bail petition in the High Court; however, the police arrested her before she could take any such step

- The reports also suggest that AIMIM Councilor Mateen Patel also helped Khan while she was hiding in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

- The Nashik Police have issued a notice to Patel and have also seized his mobile phone for further investigation

- The opposition parties have demanded a detailed probe, further asking for strict action against those involved in the matter

- Nida Khan is accused of manipulating employees at the Nashik office of IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to convert their religion
