Tamil Nadu Portfolio Allocation: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday allocated portfolios to ministers in Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s Cabinet. The Chief Minister retained key departments, including the Home, Police, and Women and Child Welfare departments.

Vijay Keeps Key Administrative, Police Departments
As per the portfolio allocation list, Vijay will oversee key departments, including Public Administration, General Administration, Home, District Revenue Officers, Police, Special Programme Implementation, Women Welfare, Youth Welfare, Welfare of Children, Welfare of the Aged and Differently Abled Persons, Municipal Administration and Urban and Water Supply.
Finance Given To KA Sengottaiyan
Senior leader KA Sengottaiyan has been assigned the Finance portfolio along with Pensions and Pension Allowances. This allocation places him in direct charge of the state's fiscal planning, expenditure management, and financial administration under the new government.
Selvi S Keerthana Takes Charge Of Industries Portfolio
Selvi S Keerthana, the youngest minister in the Cabinet, has received the Industries portfolio, along with the Investment Promotion. The allocation of a major department to a woman minister makes her one of the most prominent faces in the Cabinet.
N Anand Receives Rural Development And Water Resources
N Anand has been appointed Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources. He will oversee Rural Development, Panchayats and Panchayat Union, Poverty Alleviation Programmes, Rural Indebtedness and Irrigation Projects, including small-scale irrigation systems.
Aadhav Arjuna Gets PWD
Aadhav Arjuna has been appointed Minister of Public Works and Sports Development. He will oversee Public Works such as Buildings, Highways and Minor Ports, along with the development of sports infrastructure and related welfare initiatives.

- Dr KG Arunraj has been allotted the Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare portfolios.
- P Venkataramanan has been assigned Food and Civil Supplies, along with Consumer Protection and Price Control.
- R Nirmalkumar has received Energy Resources and Law. His departments include Electricity, Non-Conventional Energy Development, Law, Courts, Prisons, Prevention of Corruption, Legislative Assembly affairs, Governor-related matters, Elections and Passports.
- Rajmohan has been given charge of School Education, Tamil Development, and Information and Publicity, along with Archaeology, Tamil Official Language and Culture, Film Technology and Cinematograph regulation, Newsprint Control, Stationery and Printing and Government Press.
- Dr TK Prabhu will handle the Natural Resources portfolio, including Minerals and Mines.
