Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s daughter, Senthamarai Stalin and son-in-law Sabarisan cast their votes at a polling station in Chennai.

Speaking to ANI, Sabarisan said, "We have voted with confidence for Tamil Nadu's self-respect, growth and future. We are very confident."

Actor VTV Ganesh on Thursday cast his vote as polling is underway across all 234 assembly constituencies. He also expressed support for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), stating that he believes the party and its leader, Vijay, can bring change.

Speaking to news agency ANI, he said, "I cast my vote to TVK. Vijay is a perfect fit to upgrade the society, people and the system... I want him to become the CM".

Voting for the 234-member Assembly began at 7 AM and is scheduled to continue till 6 PM, with over 5.73 crore voters set to decide the fate of 4,023 candidates. The results will be counted on May 4.

According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Tamil Nadu recorded a voter turnout of 37.56 per cent. Kumarapalayam in Namakkal recorded the highest voter turnout at 45.87 per cent, while Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli recorded the lowest voter turnout at 30.73 per cent.
