Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday strongly reacted to the Surya murder case in Ghaziabad while addressing a public gathering in Bijnor. Referring to the incident, CM Yogi said, "Stabbing will not be tolerated."

The Chief Minister alleged that a Hindu youth was killed in Ghaziabad on Bakrid, but the opposition chose to remain silent on the matter. He said, "If someone is unable to discipline or guide their wayward child, then they should understand that they are making a mistake."
“Our sympathies lie with the ordinary citizens. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, over the past 12 years, every section of society has received the benefits of governance schemes without any discrimination. However, the nation also expects to see a sense of empathy being demonstrated, yet that very empathy is conspicuously absent there."
During his address, CM Yogi also reiterated his views on cow protection, stating, "Those who consider the cow as an animal are not humans; the cow is naturally our mother."
Surya Was Fatally Stabbed
The case pertains to the killing of a young man named Surya in Ghaziabad's Khoda area on Eid. According to police, Surya was attacked with a knife and sustained serious injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Surya's friend Vicky alleged that on the afternoon of Bakrid, Asad and his associates were standing near a banana warehouse when they confronted Surya. During the interaction, Asad allegedly asked him, "Have you ever seen a goat being slaughtered?" When Surya replied in the negative and began walking away, the accused reportedly started abusing him. When he objected, Asad and his associates allegedly attacked him with knives.
Surya attempted to escape after pushing Asad away, but the attackers allegedly chased him and stabbed him multiple times.
