Passengers travelling across Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal may face disruptions over the coming days as South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced cancellations, diversions and partial cancellations of several trains due to ongoing railway infrastructure and track strengthening works.

To improve infrastructure and the safety of operations, railway officials are set to conduct non-interlocking work at Jharkhand’s Barwadih station between June 23 and 27, 2026. Simultaneously, the Adra Railway Division is working on the repair and strengthening of special tracks between June 22 and June 28, 2026.

As a result of the repairs, many long-distance express trains will run on diverted paths, while others have been fully or partially cancelled through the process of short termination and short origination.

Passengers have been requested to check train schedules and live status before visiting the railway station.

Six Long-Distance Trains To Run On Diverted Routes

* 18101 Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi Express - Departing from Tatanagar on June 24 and 26, the train will run via Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Rajabera, Gomoh, Gaya, Dehri-on-Sone, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction (DDU) and Chunar.

* 18102 Jammu Tawi-Tatanagar Express - Departing from Jammu Tawi on June 22 and 24, the train will travel via Chunar, DDU, Dehri-on-Sone, Gaya, Gomoh, Bokaro Steel City and Muri.

* 18309 Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi Express - Departing from Sambalpur on June 24 and 26, the train will run through Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Rajabera, Gomoh, Gaya, Dehri-on-Sone, DDU and Chunar.

* 18310 Jammu Tawi-Sambalpur Express - Departing from Jammu Tawi on June 21, 23 and 25, the train will operate via Chunar, DDU, Dehri-on-Sone, Gaya, Gomoh, Rajabera, Bokaro Steel City and Muri.

* 18523 Visakhapatnam-Banaras Express - Departing from Visakhapatnam on June 24, the train will run via Muri, Bokaro Steel City, Rajabera, Gomoh, Gaya and Sonnagar.

* 18524 Banaras-Visakhapatnam Express - Departing from Banaras on June 25, the train will operate through Sonnagar, Gaya, Gomoh, Rajabera, Bokaro Steel City and Muri.

Six Trains Cancelled Due To Adra Division Block

* 68061/68062 Adra-Asansol-Adra MEMU - June 22 and June 25

* 68090/68089 Adra-Medinipur-Adra MEMU - June 23, June 26 and June 28 

* 68077/68078 Adra-Bhaga-Adra MEMU - June 25 and June 28

Trains To Run With Partial Cancellation

* 18116/18115 Chakradharpur-Gomoh-Chakradharpur Express - Will run only up to Mahuda on June 23, 26 and 28.

* 68055/68056 Asansol-Tatanagar-Asansol MEMU - Will operate only up to Adra on June 23, 24 and 27.

* 63594/63593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU - Will terminate at Adra on June 22, 24, 25, 26 and 27.

* 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express - Will run only up to Adra on June 23, 24, 25 and 27.

* 13503/13504 Bardhaman-Hatia-Bardhaman MEMU Express - Will operate only up to Gomoh instead of Hatia on June 25 and 28.

The temporary changes have been introduced to facilitate infrastructure upgrades, non-interlocking work and track strengthening projects aimed at improving passenger safety and ensuring smoother train operations in the long run.
