Amid the split in the opposition parties, Om Prakash Rajbhar, chief of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, has alleged that the Samajwadi Party (SP) is soon likely to face a similar fate. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rajbhar alleged that MP Ram Gopal Yadav has submitted a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, adding that the SP leaders are scared of the ongoing probe in the Gomti River Front scam. However, Yadav refuted his claims by stating that he did not submit any letter to the home minister.

In his post, Rajbhar alleged that the entire party of Akhilesh Yadav is ready to join the BJP after a major split in the Trinamool Congress and a possible rebellion in the Shiv Sena (UBT). "There will be a major split in the Samajwadi Party. Ram Gopal Yadav has submitted a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The entire state of Uttar Pradesh knows who the mastermind behind the mining scam and the Gomti River Front scam is," he stated.

"The SP is worried as the noose tightens. Forget Maharashtra and Bengal, the entire SP is ready to join the BJP," the minister in the Uttar Pradesh government added. However, while refuting his claims, Ram Gopal Yadav stated that he did not submit any letter to the home minister, adding that no one takes Rajbhar seriously.

"You should ask Amit Shah ji whether I have submitted any letter. No one in the country takes Om Prakash Rajbhar seriously. He always speaks in this manner. He himself does not know what he is saying," he told the reporters. Apart from this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav slammed Rajbhar for allegedly using the same narrative used by the saffron party leaders.

"How long will this saga continue? You will speak the language of those who feed you," Akhilesh Yadav said. The former chief minister further alleged that several BJP MLAs are ready to switch sides to the SP, adding that they will reveal their choice at the right time. The high-voltage assembly election in Uttar Pradesh is set to be conducted in the early months of 2027.
