Rajdhani Express Fire: A fire broke out in two coaches of the Nizamuddin bound Rajdhani Express (12431) on Sunday morning leading to widespread panic. The incident occurred between Alot and Vikramgarh railway stations in Madhya Pradesh, jagran.com reported. Operations on the New Delhi-Mumbai rail route have been affected, with several trains being diverted to other stations.
The incident ocurred when Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express departed from Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam. Around 5:30 am, a fire broke out in coach B-1 of the train between Luni and Vikramgarh. The guard immediately alerted the loco pilot, following which the train was immediately stopped.
Following the incident, railway employees acted swiftly, safely evacuating approximately 68 passengers and shifting them to other coaches. The fire brigade arrived at the scene immediately after receiving information and began extinguishing the fire. The OHE supply was also cut immediately. The affected B-1 coach was detached from the rake. Train No. 12955 was held at Mahidpur Road (MEP). The cause of the fire is being investigated, said West Central Railway, Kota Division.
The incident occurred in the Kota Railway Division of the Indian Railways. Two coaches were completely destroyed in the fire, and no casualties have been reported.

On May 15, a massive fire broke out on the Hyderabad-Jaipur Special Express train at Nampally railway station at Hyderabad. The fire broke out in the train's three-tier AC coaches B1 and B2, causing panic throughout the station premises.
The incident occurred as the train was about to depart for Jaipur at 7 pm. Eyewitnesses reported that thick smoke suddenly began to billow from the coaches, followed by flames within minutes. Panic erupted at the station, with passengers abandoning their luggage and running for safety.
Upon receiving the information, teams from the Railway Protection Force, station administration, and fire brigade immediately arrived at the scene. Firefighters quickly began working to control the fire.
