State Bureau, New Delhi: Despite the end of the summer holiday rush, railway passengers continue to struggle with heavy congestion and long waiting lists on several routes, making ticket availability a major concern. In response, the Railways has decided to increase the frequency of the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Indore Special and the Udhna-Ayodhya Cantt Special trains to provide additional travel options for passengers.

Indore-Hazrat Nizamuddin Special Train Update

The biweekly Indore-Hazrat Nizamuddin Special train (09309) was scheduled to run until July 31. Now, it will run every Friday and Sunday until August 30. In the return direction, the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Indore Special (09310) will run every Saturday and Monday until August 31.

Udhna (Surat) - Ayodhya Cantt Special Train Update

It will run every Friday till August 28. In the return direction, Ayodhya Cantt-Udhna Special (09094) will run every Saturday till August 29.

Meanwhile, the Udhna-Ayodhya Cantt Special (09097) will run every Tuesday until August 25.
The Ayodhya Cantt-Udhna Special (09098) has been extended until August 26. It will depart every Wednesday.

In another news, Jharkhand is likely to get two new Sleeper Vande Bharat Express trains, making long-distance travel to Mumbai and Varanasi faster and more comfortable.

As part of Indian Railway's efforts to enhance long-distance connectivity, the industrial city of Tatanagar is set to become a key hub for two Sleeper Vande Bharat Express services.

According to a report by jagran.com, the South Eastern Railway (SER) has submitted a detailed proposal to the Railway Board to operate these high-speed sleeper trains from Tatanagar to Mumbai, the country's financial capital, and Varanasi, one of India's most important cultural and spiritual cities.

To support the project, preparations are also underway to construct a modern coaching depot in Tatanagar at an estimated cost of Rs 283 crore, ensuring efficient maintenance of the new trains.
