Parliament Special Session: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Friday ended his speech on the debate over the bills related to delimitation and women's quota with a riddle.

Questioning the government's timing to take up the women's quota, the Congress MP said, "The whole answer to the riddle is in the number 16. Everything is in the number 16".

A "Moment of Epiphany"

Gandhi recalled watching the Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking the previous day, describing him as "low energy" and "broken."

"He [Modi] was not able to engage because clearly trying to pass this bill was a mistake, because everybody knew that wasn't going to pass," he said.

The moment of epiphany, Gandhi claimed, came when he noticed on his phone. "So I was watching him, and I noticed on my phone sixteenth of April. And I was like, 'My God, how crazy. That's the number. Sixteen! This sixteen number, this is the number. The whole answer to the riddle is in the number sixteen. Everything is in the number sixteen," he added.

TDP, Videos, Or Scandals?

Gandhi's mention of the 'number 16' left many puzzled, sparking a 'wild goose chase'. The speculations ranged from the 16 MPs of the TDP to a 16-minute video expose or an international scandal involving the rich and powerful.

The Leader of Opposition fueled the frenzy, inviting anyone who understood the mystery to share on X (formerly Twitter).

"Now, if anybody understands what I'm saying, please send me a message, and on Twitter you can tell what it is, but the answer to your problems, and you're going to find out very soon, is in the number sixteen," the Leader of the Opposition said.

Amid speculation over Gandhi's mention of 'number 16', Congress's official X handle seemingly dropped a hint, stating "Sixteen sounds a lot like Epstein, doesn't it?"
