PM KISAN Update: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana continues to provide financial support to millions of farmers across India. However, many beneficiaries have reported not receiving their 22nd installment. Farmers who have recently registered or have not yet completed their Farmer ID process may face issues in receiving the payment, making it essential to update their details.
A farmer-centric digital infrastructure has ensured that the benefits of this scheme reach all farmers across the country without any middlemen. Now, 14 states have made Farmer ID mandatory for new registrations under PM-KISAN, including Uttar Pradesh. If you are a farmer from Uttar Pradesh and are registering for PM-KISAN, you will need a Farmer ID.
What Is A Farmer ID?
The Farmer Registry is a government system that digitally records complete information about farmers. This includes their name, Aadhaar number, mobile number, land details, and crops grown. After registration, farmers receive a digital 'Farmer ID.'

The primary purpose of this registry is to provide farmers with a verifiable identity and ensure they receive benefits from government schemes directly into their accounts. This helps prevent duplicate or erroneous payments and ensures farmers receive the correct assistance in a timely manner.
