Jagran Correspondent, Patna: The question paper for the Patna University LLB entrance exam held at Patna College on Saturday was leaked online. According to reports, a candidate brought a mobile phone into the examination hall, took a photograph of the question paper during the test, and shared it on social media.

The incident occurred because the jammer in the examination hall was inactive at the time. Upon receiving information about the leak, the university and college administrations activated the jammer.

Paper Leak At Patna College; Examination At Other Centres Conducted Peacefully

Despite police presence and security checks at the entrance, a candidate managed to take a mobile phone into the Patna College centre during the Patna University LLB entrance exam on Saturday.

According to University Examination Controller Professor BK Lal, the question paper went viral on social media at 12:02 PM just minutes before the test concluded at 12:30 PM. At the time of the leak, the centre's jammer was switched off. Upon receiving information about the leak, the university and college administrations activated the jammer.

While the candidate responsible for the leak fled the centre, authorities confiscated the mobile phone used to circulate the paper. Officials checked the mobile phones of other candidates inside the examination hall and found no evidence of the question paper.

Meanwhile, the examination was conducted peacefully at the other centres, including Magadh Mahila College and BN College.

No Test Cancellation, Officials Confirm After LLB Paper Leak

Patna University Examination Controller Professor Lal clarified that while the question paper was leaked online, answers did not reach candidates inside the examination hall.

Lal stated that the situation was brought under control immediately, confirming that the exam will not be cancelled and no re-examination will be held. He added that authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the centre to identify the candidate responsible for circulating the paper.
