Renowned Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi's brother Bijendra Nath Tiwari has suffered serious injuries after being attacked with sharp weapons in Bihar's Belsand village in Gopalganj on Sunday. He is currently receiving treatment at the Patna hospital. The investigating team alleged that his attack is linked to a "long-standing rivalry."

What Happened At The Site
Reports say that the assailants suddenly attacked him with sharp weapons outside his house in the village. On hearing the commotion, family members and villagers rushed to the spot. The accused fled the scene when people gathered. Tiwari suffered major injuries during the attack and was rushed to Gopalganj Model Hospital for emergency treatment. As his condition turned critical, the doctor referred him to Patna for better treatment.Meanwhile, a special police team has been formed to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.

According to Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Vinay Tiwari, the arrested accused has been identified and is being sent to judicial custody. He further stated that the family members have not yet filed a written complaint. Once a formal complaint is received, the police will proceed with further legal action, the officer said. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses and officials gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack, NDTV reported.
The actor and his family have yet to comment on the incident.
