Operation Sindoor Anniversary: As the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor approaches, intelligence agencies have raised alarms over alleged fresh terror plots by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Pakistan’s ISI to destabilise Jammu and Kashmir through infiltration and targeted killings.

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to a brutal cross-border terror attack carried out by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists. The operation primarily focused on dismantling terror infrastructure and neutralizing militants likely to be infiltrated into India during the night of May 6-7.

According to intelligence reports cited by Jagran.com, Pakistan’s military establishment and ISI are now allegedly planning to use terror proxies in Jammu and Kashmir to carry out disruptive attacks during BrahMos Day celebrations, which mark the anniversary of Operation Sindoor on May 7.

On the midnight of May 6-7 last year, Indian security forces launched Operation Sindoor, successfully destroying key terror infrastructure belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed inside Pakistan. Following Pakistan’s retaliatory shelling on Indian positions, India also targeted and destroyed the strategically significant Noor Khan Airbase in Pakistan.

Gujranwala Meeting Allegedly Focused on Kashmir Destabilisation

Intelligence sources claim that a recent high-level meeting was held at Lashkar’s Markaz-e-Aqsa headquarters in Gujranwala, Pakistan. The gathering reportedly included senior Lashkar commanders, members of allied terror outfits, and top Pakistani military and ISI officials.

As per sources cited by Jagran.com suggest the discussions centered around orchestrating major terror strikes in Jammu and Kashmir to coincide with Operation Sindoor’s anniversary. The agenda allegedly included spreading panic in the region, directing active terror operatives in Jammu and Kashmir to execute major attacks, strengthening logistical support networks, accelerating recruitment drives, intensifying infiltration attempts, and targeting individuals in Kashmir who openly oppose terrorism.
