Operation Sindoor Anniversary: India's military has witnessed several key positive developments in recent times following the success of Operation Sindoor. On the first anniversary of the historic operation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) reminded its enemies that some lines should never be crossed. The operation established that India has a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, and it will respond in a similar manner in the future. India has also unveiled a new blueprint of its military might and future defense strategies.

India has completely transformed its defense strategies amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and the West Asia crisis. A specialised drone force has been created by the defense planners based on the experience of Operation Sindoor. As per the defence experts, the drone force will be deployed as the first responder in any military operation, providing an extra layer of shield.

As per the Integrated Defence Headquarters, 50,000 military personnel are currently being trained for this modern force. The authority stated that 15 new 'Centers of Excellence' will be established across the country over the next three years. The army is planning to incorporate 8,000 drones into each corps and ensure that every soldier possesses their own personal drone.

The experts also stated that India could next face drones that will be extremely difficult to jam. The Indian military, to deal with this challenge, is expanding the scope of its anti-drone capabilities and boosting its communication systems. Earlier in May 2025, the Air Force launched strategic attacks against the terror sites in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan's territory.

It eliminated over 100-200 terrorists in the deadly strikes and also destroyed Pakistani air defense radars and 20 per cent of their air assets. India also destroyed nine high-value terror launchpads linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

While Pakistan tried to retaliate by launching drone attacks across the border, the Indian defence system successfully intercepted and destroyed most of them.
