In a disturbing incident, a woman was thrown off her motorcycle after a car struck her vehicle in Haryana’s Gurugram. The entire event was captured on an action camera fitted to her bike for a shoot. The victim, identified as Sia (who uses the Instagram handle 'rebelwheels_sia_'), shared the video online and narrated the sequence of events. The car owner has mentioned that it was his friend who was riding the car and that he was unaware of the incident "I have nothing to say, but today I felt unsafe on Gurugram roads. People like these aren't afraid of hitting people and running away," she added.

What Happened With The Woman?

Narrating the terrifying experience, Sia said she was riding her Aprilia RS 457, a sports bike with a biker group, on the Golf Course road on Sunday. The woman biker alleged that the car occupants were following her since the beginning of her ride.According to Sia, the car approached her and the occupants, who were presumably intoxicated, behaved aggressively. When she asked them to maintain a safe distance, they demanded that she stop her motorcycle.

Sia stated that she tried to keep moving forward to prevent the car from blocking her path, while a friend riding behind attempted to shield her and prevent the vehicle from pulling alongside again.

The car then continued to pursue her before the driver allegedly tried to cut in front of her motorcycle. In the process, she said, the vehicle struck her bike and sped away.

One of her friends pursued the car and confronted the driver when the vehicle stopped at a traffic signal. However, the driver denied responsibility and drove off.

Urges Police To Take Action

Later in the video, Sia urged the Gurugram Police to take strict action against drivers who endanger other road users and flee accident scenes.She also shared the vehicle's registration number and the name of the registered owner. However, no written complaint has been received from the victim yet.

Police said they have identified the accused and formed three special teams to arrest him. The Gurugram police has registered a case against the accused car driver under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 125 (causing injury) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sector 56 police station, a police spokesperson said. Investigations are underway to apprehend the accused man.

Car Owner's Friend Was Riding Vehicle

The vehicle owner, identified as Manish, meanwhile, claimed that his friend Kalyan was driving the car when the incident took place. Manish, a resident of Haryana's Palwal, said that he learnt about the incident only when the video went viral on social media and was covered by news channels. Manish alleged that Kalyan had borrowed the car from his family members on Sunday.
