In a major infrastructure boost to Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Cabinet on Tuesday approved four new link expressways. The new projects will strengthen connectivity in the state by interlinking expressways and connecting key areas to the state expressway network.

The expressways will be overseen by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). The link expressways include Farukkhabad Link Expressway, Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jhansi Link Expressway and Jewar Link Expressway.

Farukkhabad Link Expressway: It will be a 90 km expressway connecting the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to the Ganga Expressway. The link route will connect Etawah, Kannauj, Mainpuri, Farukkhabad, Hardoi and Shahjahanpur with the two expressways.
