Delhi: A woman has approached the Delhi Police alleging that her daughter was assaulted and threatened by the son of a senior bureaucrat in south Delhi's Greater Kailash area.
Police said they have received the complaint and are currently verifying the claims. As of now, no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in the case, according to a PTI report.
"Pulled Her Hair, Tried To Twist Her Hands"
According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place late Saturday night at around 11:30 PM following a dispute between the woman's daughter and the accused.
In a video posted on social media, the mother alleged that her daughter was recording a video when the accused assaulted her, pulled her hair, and tried to twist her hands.
Threats Of Acid Attack And Rape
The woman further alleged that her family received threats of an acid attack and rape following the incident, Times of India reported. The Delhi Police are currently examining these claims as part of their ongoing inquiry into the matter.
Recent Incidents In South Delhi
The recent allegations come months after a separate case in South Delhi where the 22-year-old daughter of a senior bureaucrat was allegedly raped and murdered at her residence in Kailash Hills. Police subsequently arrested a former domestic worker in that case, alleging he entered the house while the victim was alone and attacked her before fleeing with stolen belongings.
In another recent incident, a woman in Greater Kailash-2 alleged that her former partner assaulted and threatened her inside her home following a personal dispute on Saturday. Police said they are examining those claims as well.
