Maharashtra Weather: Heavy Rain Alert In Thane, Ratnagiri, Nashik, Pune, Other 25 Districts The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for several districts in Maharashtra, forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, rainfall and gusty winds on Sunday.

According to the IMD, parts of North Konkan, North Central Maharashtra and Marathwada are likely to receive heavy rainfall. Gusty winds may reach speeds of 40-50 kmph, while several areas are expected to experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

A yellow alert is in place for Thane, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Nashik Ghat, Ahilyanagar, Pune, Pune Ghat, Kolhapur, Kolhapur Ghat, Satara, Satara Ghat, Sangli, Solapur, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal.

The IMD has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph at isolated places in these districts.

Meanwhile, isolated areas of South Konkan-Goa and South Central Maharashtra are likely to witness thunderstorms with lightning, light to moderate rainfall and stronger gusty winds of 40-50 kmph.

Will It Rain In Maharashtra Tomorrow?

The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall in several parts of Maharashtra tomorrow, with a yellow alert issued for multiple districts.

The alert covers Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Nashik, Nashik Ghat, Ahilyanagar, Pune, Pune Ghat, Kolhapur, Kolhapur Ghat, Satara, Satara Ghat, Sangli, Solapur, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are likely at isolated places in these areas.

Mumbai Weather Forecast

Mumbai is likely to remain partly cloudy, with light to moderate rain or a few spells of rain accompanied by thunderstorms expected across the city and its suburbs.

The maximum temperature is likely to be around 33 degrees C, while the minimum temperature may settle at around 26 degrees C
