Jagran Correspondent | Gurugram: The proposed 35.25-kilometer Metro corridor from Sector 56 to Panchgaon is designed for speeds up to 90 km/h to boost connectivity across Gurugram. The line will feature 28 stations across key residential, commercial, and industrial hubs.
The new corridor will seamlessly integrate with major transport networks, including the Rapid Metro, RRTS, and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC). According to Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the project aims to serve the city's fastest-growing urban areas.
While reviewing the progress in the project, Rastogi said that the project should be designed in a way that it not only meets transport usage but also caters to the travellers for the next 15 to 20 years.
ACS Town and Country Planning Anurag Agarwal, Director J Ganeshan, Urban Local Bodies Commissioner and Secretary Ashok Kumar Meena, MD HSIDC Vinay Pratap Singh, Chief Administrator HSVP and MD HMRTC Mukul Kumar along with other senior officials were present in the meeting.
Which stations will the metro cover?
The proposed metro line will reportedly run through key areas of Gurugram, including Sectors 56, 61, 65, 66, 50 and 49, Kherki Daula, Global City, New Gurugram sectors 84, 86 and 90, IMT Manesar and Panchgaon.
Metro To Be Connected To RRTS and Rapid Metro
The proposed metro corridor is planned to be integrated with existing and proposed rail-based transport networks, including the Rapid Metro and RRTS, along with the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor.

Additionally, better integration with future rail-based systems will be considered. This will connect the rapidly developing areas from Sector 56 to Pachgaon with a comprehensive public transport network.
A major feature of the proposed corridor is its extensive multimodal integration with existing and future public transport systems.
The proposed integration is expected to play a key role in creating a connected mass-transit grid for the rapidly developing Gurugram region, rather than developing individual transport corridors in isolation, the statement said.
