Gurugram's Golf Course Accident Case: In a major update in the Gurugram hit and run case, accused Kalyan Bainsla was detained by police officials in Rajasthan's Dausa. While providing details, Naveen Bainsla, Kalyan's lawyer, has informed that his client will now be presented in the Gurugram Court. A huge controversy escalated on Monday after a female biker, while sharing a video, alleged that Bainsla chased and deliberately hit her with his car. 

'Attempt To Murder Charge Added'

In its statement, the Gurugram police stated that Section 109 of the BNS (attempt to murder) was added to the charges following a detailed analysis of CCTV footage. "Gurugram Police took suo motu cognizance and registered a case at the Sector-56 police station," the authority stated.

"During the subsequent thorough investigation and detailed analysis of CCTV footage, Section 109 of the BNS (attempt to murder) was added to the charges; this section carries a provision for imprisonment of up to 10 years," Gurugram Police said in its statement," Gurugram police added.

What Bainsla's Lawyer Said?

However, Bainsla's lawyer alleged that this case was due to negligence, adding that his client was not drunk and that both the parties were at fault. "This is not a hit-and-run case; it is a matter of negligence. It happened purely due to overspeeding and reckless behavior—they were racing against each other. There was a large group of bikers—about 20-30 riders," the advocate stated.

"Claims about drinking are completely false. He is a gym trainer and a gym owner. It was simply a case where both parties were at fault—the riders and him. They were racing at high speeds, lost control, and the vehicles collided," he added.

However, while questioning the intentions of the accused, Sia, the victim, asked why the accused did not stop and help her after the accident despite being confronted by the fellow bikers.
