The ongoing controversy over the NEET-UG paper leak, the delayed CUET-UG exam and OSM system of CBSE triggered a major protest by student organisations outside the Ministry of Education on Monday. The protest staged by the All India Students' Association (AISA) and joined by activists of Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS), demanding accountability for repeated paper leaks and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The organisers said that the demonstration sought action over alleged irregularities in examinations such as NEET, CUET, SSC and CBSE.
The protest started with a march towards the Ministry of Education demanding accountability for irregularities in marking systems in CBSE board exams, paper leaks, and examination delays that had adversely affected lakhs of students across the country.
The organisations also alleged that several protestors were detained by police personnel deployed at the site who stopped them to march further, adding that the detained students and activists were taken to Kapashera Police Station and held there for several hours.
Confirming the action, a senior police officer told news agency PTI, "Around eight to ten students were detained to maintain law and order."

A protestor who was detained by the police said, "We were here protesting against the leak that has been happening...Why is the government not demanding the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan?... We will not let this government play with our future..."
Lashing out at the National Testing Agency (NTA), AISA National President Neha alleged that it has become a symbol of negligence and corruption in the education system.
AISA Delhi University Secretary Anjali, on the other hand, questioned the government and accused it of attempting to suppress student protests instead of addressing concerns regarding examination irregularities.
The protestors also demanded the resignation Pradhan, the disbandment of the NTA and a Supreme Court-monitored inquiry into the functioning of the NTA.
The protest came as Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke made a call for protest on June 6. Taking to social media on Monday, Dipke announce to come back to India on June 6 and urged his supporters to join him at the airport. The protest, at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, is being held with a demand of Pradhan's resignation.
