After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a 50 per cent discount on bus fares for candidates appearing for NEET UG 2026 re-examination, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has now issued the order for implementation.
The discounted bus fares will be available on June 20 and 21, so that no candidate faces any inconvenience. The UPSRTC has instructed all regional and assistant regional managers to strictly enforce the order and provide benefits to the aspirants.
To get the benefits, the students would have to travel with a copy of their admit card, which must be given to the bus conductors.
Transport Corporation Managing Director Prabhu Narayan Singh said, "Instructions have been issued to all regional and assistant regional managers in this regard. Bus conductors will take a copy of each candidate's admit card and, based on that, tickets will be issued at a 50 per cent discount."

The MD said the conductor will enter the name of the candidate, roll number, travel route and other necessary details, including the ticket amount, on the back side of the waybill.
A photocopy of the admit card will be kept safe so that it can be used in future if required. If, in unavoidable circumstances, a 50 per cent concessional ticket cannot be issued from the ETIM machine, then a manual ticket can be issued after taking permission from the depot in-charge or centre in-charge over the phone.
Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh said that the NEET UG exam will be held on June 21. Candidates will be provided travel facility on concessional rates in the buses of the Transport Corporation on June 20 and June 21.
Concessions on city buses
Candidates appearing for the NEET exam to be held in Lucknow on Sunday can also get a 50 per cent discount on city bus fares. This discount will be applicable from midnight on June 19 and 20 to midnight on June 21 and 22.
MD of City Transport and Regional Manager of Lucknow, Vimal Rajan, said that candidates will get bus services to 28 cities from Alambagh, Kaiserbagh and Awadh bus stations. 115 city buses will operate on 22 routes in Lucknow. A help desk will be opened at the bus stand.
The NEET-UG examination was held on May 3 but was cancelled on May 12 after allegations and evidence of a paper leak surfaced.
