In a tragic incident, the Mumbai Police arrested a man for hitting a four-year-old boy and smashing his head with an iron rod over a minor dispute with the child’s father. The incident reportedly took place in Mumbai’s Vasai region.

After an argument with the child's father, Sandeep Pawar, the defendant, became angry at his father and confronted him. In an act of anger, he pulled the child out of an auto rickshaw by both legs.

The incident captured on the CCTV showed Pawar pulling the child out of the auto and then throwing Vignesh on the ground before running back into the building. When he came back out, he picked the child back up and smashed him onto an iron pipe before throwing him back on the ground again as an act of retaliation against the child's father. 

The child was immediately taken by ambulance to a local hospital in Mira Road. Vignesh has been receiving emergency medical treatment in the ICU.

The incident has generated outrage from residents living in the same housing complex, which prompted further investigation by law enforcement officials.
